Visit the Route of the Parks in the Aysen region, one of the least known places in our country and which concentrates a good number of National Parks along the Carretera Austral. From Balmaceda airport, visit Cerro Castillo National Park, General Carrera Lake and its atractions, Patagonia National Park, and to the north, the Queulat National Park. We have included a navigation to San Rafael lagoon in the San Rafael National Park and an exotic visit to experience sunrise with condors in Coyhaique Alto.

Day 1: Arrival in Coyhaique

Arrive at Balmaceda airport and get your rental car. From there, you will travel northbound to Coyhaique, a city that is the regional capital of Aysen. Here, you will tour the city, visiting its main square and some other attractions, like the monument of the pioneers, in downtown.

Day 2: Condor watching

Early morning condor-watching excursion. You will have to wake up at 5:30 or 6 AM to reach the area where the condors sleep and witness their awakening. Breakfast at the ranch and after that you continue the trip to the north. Then, drive to Queulat National Park, passing through Villa Mañihuales, visiting Puerto Cisnes, and crossing cuesta Queulat. Arrival at Queulat Lodge inside the National Park. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 3: Quelat National Park

Day 4: Coyhaique to MallinColorado

Drive to Mallin Colorado from Coyhaique for five hours along the Carretera Austral, passing through Cerro Castillo National Park, Ibañez river valley, Murta river valley, Puerto Murta, Puerto Tranquilo and, finally, once you cross the bridge in the mouth of lake General Carrera, you will reach Mallin Colorado Ecolodge. If you leave early from Coyhaique, you can take an interesting walk through Cerro Castillo National Park that same day. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 5: Patagonia National Park

Today, you will start visiting Baker River, the largest in Chile and with a unique calypso color, which originates in Puerto Bertrand. Continue south to the confluence of the Baker and Nef Rivers. Before arriving at Cochrane, visit the Patagonia National Park, its museum and facilities, where you can observe vast groups of guanacos roaming freely in the park. Dinner and accommodation in Mallin Colorado.

Day 6: Navigation to Marble Caves

After breakfast, today you will visit the Marble caves and cathedral navigating from Bahía Mansa. The rest of the day will be free to explore or rest in your cabin at Mallin Colorado Ecolodge. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 7: Laguna San Rafael

Today you will have to wake up at dawn to go to Puerto Río Tranquilo and then to Bahía Exploradores, on a trip that could take around 3 hours. From there, you will sail all day to Laguna San Rafael with breakfast and lunch included. Return to Mallin Colorado in the afternoon. Farewell dinner and accommodation in Mallin Colorado.
